You never know how far even the most humble contribution will go to someone else’s well-being.
— Stephanie Tomiak, Founder

The Mildred & Gladys Tomiak Foundation contributes to the well-being of the elderly of New York and Florida through responsive grantmaking for senior services and civic flourishing. Our humanitarian relief efforts are global in scope and help those in need around the world.

Who We Are

The Tomiak Foundation took root in New York, the home of retiree sisters Gladys “Stephanie” and Mildred Tomiak. The sisters wanted to participate in an effort to make the world a better place, which led to the birth of the Tomiak Foundation.

Since the Foundation’s inception in 2016, we have provided grants to many non-profit, humanitarian organizations across the United States. The various charters for these organizations include cancer research, fighting hunger, children’s education, veterans assistance, Ukrainian wartime relief, community outreach and betterment, services for the elderly and other social service programs.

Who We’ve Helped

Since 2018, the Tomiak Foundation has awarded over $650,000 in grants to non-profit humanitarian foundations, including the outstanding organizations below.

My Warrior's Place in Ruskin, Florida, is a Retreat Center for our Veterans, Military Service Members, Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters, Gold Star, Blue Star, and Silver Star Families.

My Warrior’s Place offers several amazing programs for those who have put their life on the line for our safety and well-being, endured the death of a Fallen Warrior, and/or experienced the horrors of war.

Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation is a non-profit based in New York City that awards research grants to the best and brightest scientists in America, and has provided grants in excess of $39M to many prestigious doctors, scientists and researchers.

The organization’s purpose is to encourage the development of more effective therapies for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers.

The Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York City providing life-saving financial and emotional support to kids who are fighting childhood cancer.

The foundation was started in 2020 by an amazing 11 year old cancer survivor with just $900 in her piggy bank at the time. You can read Elana Koenig’s story or watch it on video by visiting the website.

Samaritan Services is a charity that provides community support services to residents of Greater Sun City Center, Florida. Their transportation service now has over 150 volunteers providing rides to doctor appointments, shopping, pharmacies and banking.

Services also include coordinating with the Meals on Wheels program and providing Alzheimer’s respite care.
